| 18-03-2008 Indoor League Day 4
On 17 February, your NUTS played the fourth and final day of the indoor competition 07-08.
A lovely assembly of NUTS went on a jolly bus ride to IJmuiden (de gekste): Jesse, Wayne, Jelte, Nick, Brit, Mara and Lisa. As on the previous competition days this season, it took us a a little while to get our game on. The first game was a bit of a punch in the face as the Speedy's showed us all corners of the hall. What a way to start the day. We blamed it on their teenage hormones, our wild student lives and more things along those lines. No not really, they were faster and their main handler had some wicked overheads.
Then DDT, GD and Force Elektro. They too managed to beat us. However, during the day we slowly got on the hall way. We played lots of containment during the day and it got better every game. It surely threw off its fruits during our last game of the day against WAF. Well, and if one could choose what game on a day they want to win, I think one would choose the last game, so the victory feeling can be brought home. So that?s what we did. We won! Then we had another jolly ride on the bus home, this time with a slight victory feeling. What a day.
| 17-03-2008 Windmill Windup 2008
This year the Windmill Windup is organised for the fourth time. Although our former Heimat (sportpark Riekerhaven) is bulldozed into one big mud pool, we managed to arrange new fields in the east of Amsterdam. Sportpark Drieburg will be this year's venue.
On Friday the 13th till Sunday the 15th of June Europe's finest ladies and open teams will come to Amsterdam for some good Ultimate. The ladies teams have to battle each other in two poules. On the final day there will be no time cap.
We'd like to see as many people on the fields, but also along the fields. Everyone is invited to witness Holland 's biggest tournament. You want to meet new, fun and ultimate-crazy people? Why don't become a windmill-volunteer? In previous editions we had lots of people from all over the world that helped out. More information is available at our website shortly: WindmillWindup.com or email the organisation: windmillwindup@gmail.com
See you in June!
