Beachy NUTS at Monsterball
Who ever thought Monster was such a swell location for an ultimate beach tourney? Last weekend the NUTS, Babes and Cakes were present at this monstrous tourney, held for the first time. The players of these teams mixed and mingled to form two teams: the Pink Sponge Cakes and the Dam Nutcake Babes. Both teams and the organization were continuously confused about which team was Pink Sponge Cakes or the other one. But as they say in the land of Dutch: that couldn?t press the fun.. Beach, ultimate and lots of sunshine.. it?s the golden formula.
During the first day both teams did quite okay and both ended up in the middle ranks. The Dam Nutcake Babes (I think) played really well and were only beaten by the Red Lights and Bovine. Then it was time to BBQ and party. We danced to the sweet Balkan beats of l?Chaim and a DJ who thought it was time for bed way too early. Winning the party didn?t even take much effort this time. Afterwards we went for a little bonfire and a few beers on the beach.
On Sunday the Dam Nutcake Babes lost their first game to Force Eletro, a team they had beaten on Saturday. If we had won it, we would have played the Pink Sponge Babes. The latter team played a few really good games on Sunday, including a game against Adam&Eve who had picked up Fred. The Pink Sponge Cakes took 10th place. The Dam Nutcake Babes finished 13th.
This was Frank the Man?s last tourney -for the time being- with NUTS, as he went back home to Germany. See you around at the next tourney, Frank!

New Season Starting
All NUTS have returned from their cold, hot, humid or rigid holiday destinations and are ready to fill the bowls again this season!

NUTS conquered 'de Klimduin'
Last weekend the NUTS went up north to the beautiful beach of Noor-Holland to play the Hargen Ultimate Tournament.
We classically lost our first game of the day, but we improved and won the next two matches. The last one was against Red Lights and we gave them a tough time, but we weren't able to make it a win.
We partied at the campground, playing some discgolf and eventually heading out to the Klimduin, a massive pile of sand to climb up and run off!
De last day the wind was gusting and we had a had time adjusting our throws. We won our first match but could not continue the vibe in the second and third match. This resulted in a 12th place.
To end it all we put 8 people in the NUT mobile once again and drove home to enjoy some Roti and beers.
