PepperNUTS
If you're NUTS, you know Sinterklaas will definitely not forget about you. And he didn't.. Last Sunday, the NUTS gathered to celebrate Sinterklaas' birthday. They were in for a party.
The results: jaw cramps due to lots of laughing, rotting teeth due to excessive consumption of Sinterklaas candy, sore throat due to LOUD singing, lack of scratch marks due to good spirit during gift exchanging game. Oh my, what a heerlijk avondje.
We first had a round of 'surprises'. Everyone got fantastic surprises: a huge steroid (for Hilco of course), a beerpong table, a HUGE Sinterklaas book, an emergency ultimate ambulance kit, games that led to a search around the apartment or learning Dutch. You name it, we saw it.
Then there was a second presents round. Sinterklaas had arrange a game with a dice and a pile of small presents. The dice decided who opened which present. We juggled the gifts around for about 30 minutes, drooling over chicken masks, male mouse-shaped thongs, a rubber duck, an old school village people record, the sex box, and many more odd objects. I am happy to announce that Carine and Lisa have a very jolly Christmas Crib, as the village people are present at the birth of baby Jesus. Also Bedroom Piet whispers that Elgin was quite happy Katie got the male mouse-shaped thong. The question is: does Katie share his joy?
Anyway. There is nothing left to say but... "Dank U Sinterklaasje!"

Move to Drieburg
Big news! Last night at the Crunch ALV we learned that the fields are ready as of this week. So no more Riekerhaven. Sorry we couldn't let you know earlier. I hope this sudden change doesn't cause too many difficulties in your planning.
As of now, Tuesday will be our new practice day, starting Tuesday 18 November. Practice is from 20.00-22.00 at Sportpark Drieburg (address: Drieburgpad 3), on the fields of the football clubs FIT/Wartburgia.
We now have dressingrooms and showers!!
Unfortunately, Tim can't make it on Tuesday night, at least until Christmas. For quite some time, Tim has taken the lead in all practices, prepared drills, dragged cones and discs from HQ to Riekerhaven or Voorland, and he was there every single week. I think in three years he's missed about three practices. None of us can match that attendance rate. So a BIG THANKS to Tim. It will be hard to fill your shoes.
Thankfully Wayne is willing to take this challenge on. He will be welcoming NUTS at Drieburg this Tuesday.

Pub Quiz #4
Last Saturday, on November 8th, the City of Amsterdam was under the spell of another NUTS PubQuiz. More people than ever before showed up to compete in this quiz of ultimate knowledge. This time the Quiz Masters were Fred, Frans and Marc. They dazzled us with funny, difficult, silly, insane questions. We played some familiar rounds (e.g. the always popular music rounds), and some new rounds (recognizing logo's and board games from pictures). The team of Michael, Reggi, J-Blow and Becca finally won the Quiz with a stunning 86 points. Okay I totally made up that number, but they won. Congrats on your knowledge of trivia.
The end of the night is a bit fuzzy. Something about the curb, a loud voice, a cab and then getting kicked out.. eh, like I said, it was fuzzy.
Once again the kind folks of Liber hosted our Quiz in their homebase De Krater. Thanks to the bar crew and to Wayne to setting it up.
The next quiz is in the spring. If this Quiz Master business is right down your alley, you might wanna talk to Hilco, our Party Man. I hear the position is popular and fills quickly..
