Taking the game elsewhere

Playing with the NUTS is about getting to know the game and the joy of playing Ultimate. And there’s not better way to achieve this than joining tournaments!

Tournaments are a great way to improve your level of play. With several matches a day, there is no way to get more in touch with the game. Individually and as a team the NUT will grow.

The atmosphere at Ultimate tournaments is unlike that in any other sport. Thanks to the spirit of the game there’s an incredible amount of sportsmanship, friendliness and respect amongst the players of all teams. You will notice this at every tournament, regardless the level of play. And the fact that every tournament has at least one big party doesn’t hurt either.

Ever since our first tournament in January 2006, the NUTS have started to build up a reputation that reaches beyond the borders. We play Hard. Both on and off the field. During the day we tear up the grass, during the night we tear up the dance floor. All over the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France - and always intense. That’s right, it even rhymed. The NUTS have come to stand for a respectful opponent, that’s not to be underestimated, and always fun to play against.

Your regular tournament will be during a weekend, sometimes three days or more. Costs vary, but an average tournament will cost around 50 euros. What you will get is a great time with the NUTS, a whole bunch of games to play, improving your skills, meeting players from all over and a place in ultimate history.

Of course, tourneys aren’t mandatory. You can decide for yourself if you join tournaments or no. But we warmly recommend tourneys as the most fun way to explore the world of ultimate.
